2002's PC free-to-play shooter coming to Sony platforms for the first time.
Here's a blast from the past. Financed by the US government, America's Army is a free FPS released originally to encourage young Americans to explore the idea of joining the Army. The game takes you through the induction process that one would go through when first joining, until you eventually earn the right to participate in combat. Here's the catch, the combat is actually a lot of fun.
Taking the form of either 6v6 or 12v12 online multiplayer scenarios, the gameplay was a strategic shooter, not unlike the Rainbow Six franchise. It was come on a long way since 2002 and the PS4 version will likely be well worth a look. The game is unlikely to be released outside of the USA PSN store, but that shouldn't stop anyone.
